Congratulations to MilliporeSigma with their win for the PURedit® Cas9 Flexible/Precision Cytosine Base Editor Kit.

PURedit® enables flexible, transient cytosine base editing without double-strand breaks for safer gene editing and a variety of powerful applications in genetics research.

This product offers one of the few off-the-shelf recombinant protein cytosine base editors designed specifically for RNP delivery. RNP delivery ensures lower off-target effects when compared to plasmid or mRNA delivery.

The flexible kit gives scientists a broad editing window (positions 3-15), with the company also offering the choice of a 'precise' editor kit, to meet a variety of editing needs. Kits also come with an optional UGI, co-transfected to increase editing rates.

In addition, it includes key reagents, resources and trouble shooting guides, to bring this application to a broader spectrum of researchers in a technically challenging field, who may be unable to produce CBE proteins in house.
