We're pleased to recognise Glysite™ Explorer™ in situ PLA Glycan Detection Kit as Highly Commended in this category. Protein glycosylation plays a fundamental role across biological systems, yet it has long been one of the more challenging areas to study. Existing approaches such as mass spectrometry and flow cytometry, while powerful, require specialised expertise and lack spatial context.

The Glysite™ Explorer Kit offers the first fully integrated solution. It combines a curated lectin panel with Navinci's in situ Proximity Ligation Assay (isPLA) technology to deliver spatially resolved glycosylation detection using a familiar immunostaining-style workflow. The workflow is compatible with standard microscopy and returns results the same day.

Researchers at Harvard Medical School noted that without this product, characterising diverse glycan structures across distinct cell types in the tumour microenvironment would not have been easily achievable.
